Some tasks beg to be started but should be left alone. Starting a pricing one-pager while legal is still out creates half-finished documents, not progress. The system should be able to say: don’t do this yet.
Waiting is not avoidance. It is a decision with a reason — and a tomorrow when the reason changes. That single line completes WAH’s thesis alongside lists are not decisions, why this?, the work graph, time changes the rank, and capture is thinking.
WAIT is not a status. It’s an outcome
Most products treat deferral as snooze. WAH treats it as a legitimate output of the same engine that picks Do this next.

Don’t: Pricing one-pager → half-finished work. Do: Interviews → Product brief → Launch. WAH isn’t telling you to procrastinate. It’s sequencing the work so your limited window protects leverage instead of creating noise.
You can wait — with evidence, then it comes back

Postpone isn’t archive. WAH remembers the decision and the condition that made it reasonable to wait. When the blocker clears, the deadline approaches, or the work becomes the best fit for your window, it surfaces again. No psychological claims needed — the product evidence is enough.
WAH isn’t trying to replace Jira, Linear, Todoist. It’s the decision layer above the work. WAH doesn’t maximize activity. It maximizes useful progress — and sometimes useful progress is wait.
